XBRL Financial Statement Filing via the Qayd Platform
About XBRL and Qayd
Kuwait’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry has launched Qayd, the national platform for filing financial statements electronically in XBRL format. Filing through Qayd is optional during 2026 and becomes mandatory for all companies from 1 January 2027, after which financial statements submitted outside the system will not be accepted. Instead of uploading a PDF, companies now submit structured digital data that the system validates automatically, rejecting any filing that doesn’t meet the standards.
